Hey there, tell us a little about yourself!
Hi #BrideHour! We are a team of wedding hair and make up artists based in Oxfordshire but covering Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, London & The Cotswolds too! We use completely vegan certified skincare and make up and really focus on allowing our clients natural beauty and features to shine through and be enhanced.

What inspired you to start your business?
If I’m honest, I completely fell into make up and it was more of a hobby to start with! But, the more time I spent immersing myself in learning and making over clients, the more my passion grew. It is an incredible feeling to be trusted so much to be a part of such an important day and we get to witness such raw displays of emotion - best job in the world!

What’s your top beauty tip for brides in the run up to their big day?
Please look after your skin! Yes we (and every other make up artist) are trained and know how to combat blemishes, breakouts, redness etc but really looking after your skin in the months running up to your wedding makes a huge difference. Not only does it make our job easier, it means you don’t have to be covered in make up and you’ll be surprised how good you feel in your own skin! Talk to your chosen make up artist about a skincare routine and ensure you are cleansing and moisturising at the very least.

What sort of things happen in your “typical” day?
There are 2 different ‘typical days’ for us!
The first is Office Days – Responding to enquiries (we have some for 2017 already!), finalising time schedules for wedding days, booking in trials and consultations and sending off recommended skincare products. And then we have Make Up Days – (Our favourite!) These are normally weddings and we very luckily get to travel to most of our brides chosen venues and have a sneak peak at it all decorated and set up. We will then set up ourselves and get to work making each member of the bridal party looking beautiful. We will usually stay with our brides until they leave to do finishing touches.

Top tip for couples planning their wedding?
Do exactly what you want with your day! I’ve seen it happen far too many times, of couples trying to please everybody else and ending up disappointed with what they did or didn’t do on their wedding day. Don’t forget that the people attending are the people that love and adore you and will support every decision you make. Everyone is celebrating your love for each other and part of that love is your personal touches.
Enjoy it! It flies by so quickly.
